SARBI PARK

Public BBQ

This suburban park offers solid facilities for families looking for a day out. The playground suits toddlers and young kids, with swings and paths for bike riding. Clean electric BBQs are scattered around the grounds with undercover seating areas and picnic tables. Recent additions include new toilet facilities and a water fountain, though some reviews mention toilets weren't always available. The park features gym equipment, adequate shade, and plenty of open space for ball games. A dog park sits next door, working well for small to medium dogs but feeling cramped for larger breeds. Parking is plentiful around the perimeter. The park honours Sarbi, an Australian special forces explosives detection dog, with a statue tucked away in the southwest corner. The grounds are well maintained with spacious green areas, though only partially fenced and located near roads where traffic can move quickly. One quirk: lights are installed but visitors struggle to find the switches.
